One of the first things you might want to do when going to Dubai is watching what it looks like from the air. There are several options to watch this busy city in all of its beauty such as hot air balloon, seaplane, and helicopter ride. But if your way of living is adventurous and wild I might have the best solution.
Skydive Dubai offers tandem services (as well as solo courses for the most daring) with some of the most talented and professional instructors. While going up with the plane you can get to see the most iconic things of Dubai such as Dubai Marina, The Palm, Burj Al Arab, Burj Khalifa and the World Islands.
Today the company is world renowned for its extraordinary and innovative pursuit of excellence in aerial sports, it holds multiple Guinness world records, and it has developed two of the foremost skydiving locations worldwide.
The journey started when H.E. Nasser Al Neyadi obtained one helicopter and a wind tunnel and began training. Then in 2010, with the honourable blessing of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, Dubai hosted its first international parachuting championship at the Palm Drop Zone. Soon after the name Skydive Dubai was born, launched by H.E. Nasser Al Neyadi.
When the time for your tandem has come, your instructor, you and your camera flyer will go to the boarding area to get ready to freefall underneath a sky so big and blue.
But the good part comes in the moments before the exit; there is this sense of anticipation. You know “amazing” is just seconds away.
The intense wait, a racing heartbeat, a surge of adrenaline, moments of insanity, a strong gust of wind, before free falling at 120 miles per hour!
After around 60 second of free fall, once your chute is open, you get to see the 360 view hanging at around 1000mt while getting closer to the palm and Dubai Marina for the landing.
Moreover all of your experience will be filmed and pictured for you to be able to look back at it. How amazing is that?
It is one of the best experiences one might do, plus I personally think that nowadays flying above some of the most beautiful places of this beautiful world-that few courageous ones can afford- is straight luxury.
A tandem skydive from 13,000 feet above the Palm Jumeirah is an incredible experience and should be on everyone’s Dubai to-do list.
My final suggestion is to live for the moments you can’t put into words, for the feels, for the adventure… at the end of the day it is a lifestyle thing!
