Is not a news that Karl Lagerfeld is always fallowing the right direction. As last year he decided to present the Cruise collection in Seoul, this year he preferred the Havana rhythm.
In a moment when everyone is talking about Cuba and what will happen next, the Chanel creative director showed clothes that idealised the essence of cruisewear, something light and pretty to wear in holiday heat and humidity.
The show was held en plein air in Havana’s Paseo de Prado, the dividing line between Old and New Havana.
Stella Tennant opened the show in a boxy black jacket, white shirt, pinstriped pants, Panama hat and correspondent shoes, looking like a taxi dancer in a Latin American nightspot.
Many of Lagerfeld’s favorite models walked in the show, including Mariacarla Boscono, Mica Arganaraz, Lindsey Wixson, and Soo Joo Park.
In lieu of a traditional finale, the Chanel show ended with a lively conga line of dancing models and musicians.
What will be the next location?
