Luxury for me

Everyone of us gives to the word “luxury” a different meaning.

It depends to our nature and past experiences and it can be related to a more spiritual or materialistic sphere. Somebody who travels a lot during the year because of work considers its own luxe the possibility to go back home and spend some time with the family, while for others luxury means buying a unique and personalized watch.

After having spent half of my life far from family and changed place where to live every year, I have understood that Luxury for me is connected to:

Freedom: nothing is more important than the sensation of being free.

Chance: I want to have the chance to try doing things, to make mistakes and to learn from them.

Happiness: “Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.” – Marcel Proust –

Experiences: past has a strong influence on life, but it is needed to find the positive aspect also in the darkest situations.

Time: I want to have time for myself and for the people and things I consider important in my life. Living abroad learnt me that nothing is more important than this, because it is not sure that tomorrow there will be the same chance.

Curiosity : always be curious about yourself, about things that surround you, the city where you live, people you meet are an infinite source of new discussions and passions.

Traveling: nothing gives you the possibility to discover yourself, your limits and your potentials as traveling alone.

Is freedom anything else than the right to live as we wish? Nothing else.
