Few days ago, exactly on the 27th of March, Naples raised the curtains on the preview event “Naples meets the world” housed in the suggestive framework of Palazzo Caracciolo.
The preview, just as the name suggests, anticipated the contents and initiatives of the main project that will take place next October and will deepen the institutional and trade relations launched during the preview.
The show brought on stage the collections made by young Neapolitan fashion companies, about 17 of them participated in this “competition”such as: B.Design, Massimo La Porta, Posillipo Cashmere, Atelier Vanitas Ltd especially renowned for luxurious bridal dress, Affinito srl specialized in made to measure shirts, Manifattura Fantasy with women collection, Tiemme, To be skin and many others.
The project has been created by Unione Industriali di Napoli, with the purpose of promoting products that represent and highlight the Campania region, its cultural richness and all the aspects related to its lifestyle and creativity. Nowadays, the elegance and the refinement of “Neapolitan style” has become a benchmark internationally, above all thanks to its most productive sector, the sartorial one, appreciated and known all over the world.
During the show in which each company presented its own creations, the CEO of Panorama Fashion Fair, Jorg Whichmann together with many buyers from Italy and from abroad were asked to tell their professional experience, in order to share ideas, strategies and news with younger entrepreneurs.
Some of the countries that took part in this event were: Belgium, Holland, England and Spain but even US, Japan, India and Serbia.
Two days later, Naples welcomed another important project called “Napoli è di moda” (we could say Naples is fashion), aimed to create a meeting point between the most qualified territorial expressions (producers, artisans, fashion designer), and national and international creative and productive realities, new stylists, buyers and young creatives.
The goal of the event was to foster new collaborations and working and trade relations, to set in motion different processes oriented to the growth and development of regional premium fashion sector tackling the competition.
As the city counselor Fulvio Martusciello said: “Fashion as well as food and aeronautics, is one of the most successful sectors, one that makes Naples Known abroad.
At least that is a great satisfaction for a city that has many difficulties to take on.
